There’s a reason why football is such a popular sport in the United States. With each game, we get the chance to see the unbelievable talent of all the players on the field. But the athletes aren’t the only ones who have skills worth showing off. For members of college marching bands, halftime is their chance to shine. While there have been countless impressive performances over the years, very few can compare to this marching band’s tribute to Michael Jackson.

This iconic tribute took place back in October 2013. More specifically, during a game between Iowa and Ohio State, with the latter’s marching band taking on this challenge. The idea began, it seems, from a recent anniversary. Jackson’s popular album, Bad, had just turned 25. As a way to celebrate, Ohio State’s marching band performed a compilation of his songs. From the very start, it's clear this marching band has perfected their ability to move as one. Each new formation they pull off is mesmerizing. But then they take things up a notch by forming what is supposed to be Michael Jackson himself. From here, they even manage to make him do his infamous moonwalk! It's truly no wonder people are still talking about this performance, even after all these years.
